What we deliver

Civil Construction

Earthworks, pavement build-up, kerb and gutter, drainage and concrete works.

The short version

Most pavement failures are decided below the surface. Subgrade correction, layer thickness and drainage do more for the life of a road than anything laid on top of them, and they are the cheapest things to get right.

01What we control

  • Subgrade proved before it is covered

Proof rolling, correction of the soft spots the profiler exposes, and levels surveyed and confirmed against the design before material is ordered.

  • Pavement layers to specification

Subbase and base constructed and compacted in layers at the depths the design calls for, with the moisture content managed rather than hoped for.

  • Concrete works detailed, not copied

Kerb and gutter, footpaths, vehicle crossings and industrial slabs, with jointing and reinforcement set against the loads and the subgrade.

  • Drainage that is actually graded

Water sitting on or under a pavement is the single most common cause of early failure. Falls and pit levels are checked on site, not assumed from the drawing.
