Over 70 years of combined experience
Founded in 2023 by three civil construction professionals with over 70 years of combined industry experience, Vulcan Infra brings together extensive technical expertise, commercial knowledge and hands-on leadership.
Our directors have collectively managed over $100 million in complex asphalt and civil infrastructure projects, with experience spanning major Tier 1 and Tier 2 developments, local government programmes and private civil works.
Their professional experience includes involvement in some of NSW's most significant infrastructure projects, including NorthConnex, Northwest Rapid Transit, the M4 Widening, the M1 Upgrade, The Northern Road and Narellan Road Upgrade.
This depth of experience extends beyond asphalt construction to full-depth pavement works, concrete and sprayed seal, supported by strong capabilities in estimation, programming, commercial management and project delivery.

Vinod Iyengar
Director — Business Development & Projects
Vinod is an accomplished civil engineering professional with over 14 years of senior management experience in the asphalt and civil construction industry, bringing extensive expertise in business strategy, commercial management and complex infrastructure delivery.
With a Bachelor of Civil Engineering and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Technology Sydney, Vinod combines technical knowledge with strong commercial insight and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
Throughout his career, he has held senior leadership and project management roles, overseeing multimillion-dollar infrastructure projects and road maintenance programmes for major contractors, government agencies and local councils. His experience includes significant projects such as NorthConnex, Northwest Rapid Transit, the M1 Upgrade, M4 Resurfacing and The Northern Road – Stage 3.
As a director of Vulcan Infra, Vinod plays a key role in shaping the company's strategic direction, developing client partnerships and overseeing project delivery. His leadership is grounded in commercial discipline, clear communication and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
Beyond project performance and business growth, Vinod places particular value on building strong teams, fostering a positive work culture and establishing lasting relationships with clients, contractors and industry partners.

Craig Lyall
Director — Estimation & Project Management
Craig brings over 25 years of experience in asphalt and civil infrastructure, with extensive expertise in pavement construction, project management and operational delivery.
Having progressed through technical, supervisory and senior project management roles, Craig has developed a comprehensive understanding of asphalt operations, from material testing and production through to construction and project completion.
Throughout his career, Craig has successfully managed multimillion-dollar infrastructure projects and road maintenance programmes for Tier 1 contractors, government agencies and local councils. His experience includes major projects such as NorthConnex, WestConnex, the M1 Upgrade, M4 Widening and Sydney Metro.
Craig's strengths lie in his practical understanding of pavement construction, effective resource management and his ability to coordinate complex works while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and efficiency.
With a strong focus on operational performance, Craig has built lasting industry relationships, developed high-performing teams and implemented innovative processes to improve productivity and project delivery.
As a Director of Vulcan Infra, Craig brings a hands-on, solutions-focused approach, ensuring projects are carefully planned, efficiently managed and delivered with direct accountability.

Nicholas Brueser
Director — Operations & Project Management
Nicholas brings over 20 years of hands-on experience in asphalt and civil construction, with extensive expertise in project management, site operations and infrastructure delivery.
Having progressed through senior supervisory and project management roles, Nicholas has developed a strong understanding of pavement construction, resource coordination and the practical demands of delivering complex projects safely, efficiently and within budget.
Throughout his career, Nicholas has successfully managed multimillion-dollar infrastructure projects and road maintenance programmes for major contractors, local councils and private clients. His experience includes works at DP World Port Botany, Edmondson Park Station, Holsworthy Army Base, Bankstown Airport and major road upgrades across Sydney.
Nicholas's strengths lie in his ability to coordinate people, resources and specialist contractors, ensuring projects are carefully planned and effectively executed. His practical knowledge, attention to quality and solutions-focused approach enable him to navigate site challenges while maintaining programme, safety and commercial objectives.
As a Director of Vulcan Infra, Nicholas plays a key role in overseeing project operations, coordinating delivery teams and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers and contractors. His hands-on leadership ensures accountability remains at the forefront of every project.
